Apco Plaques have created a magnificent plaque cast from bronze to celebrate Jock Muir's legacy at Muir's Boatyard. Using a new technology, which allows the casting to be made with a three-dimensional background behind the text, Apco have been able to use a photograph of the boatyard to give the plaque depth and interest. They are the only foundry in Tasmania using such plaque making technology.
Designed by Georgie Pajak, the plaque details Jock's successful Sydney to Hobart yacht designs, as well as the history of the Muir's Boatyard and Jock's right hand man, brother Max Muir.
Plans are in place to honour Max with a plaque of his very own in the near future.
