The next chapter in the Muir maritime legacy

HISTORICAL BUILDS

Westward started off as a new build for a Sydney owner that fell through, and she was purchased by the late George Gibson, former main sheet hand on Kittiwake from the  cadet –dinghy days.

Trevassa started life as a spec-build but partway through construction, Russell Duffield, who had previously bought Jock Muir's Patsy, decided he wanted to buy her.

In 1965 Muir's Boatyard built and launched the 46ft Balandra. She was an outstanding ocean and harbour racing competitor, and a yacht that Jock Muir described as one of the most beautiful boats he had ever been involved with. Designed by Peter Nicholson from Camper and Nicholson of the UK , she was built for Robert Chrichton-Brown of Sydney.
